"A friendly and relaxed hotel, the owners are a mine of information as to what to see and do on the island of Capri. "
Originally built in the early 1900's. Casa Mariantonia was remodelled in 2007. The hotel, which is situated in the centre of Anacapri, is named after Mariantonia Farace, one of the island's first hoteliers, whose hospitality was enjoyed by many famous visitors, including Alberto Moravia, Axel Munte and Toto. One of Signora Mariantonia's customs was to offer Limoncello to her guests and it is said that the acclaimed Capri Limoncello was first made here, using fruit from the hotel's lemon grove.
Today, the hotel offers guests a choice of 6 beautiful rooms and 2 suites - all opening onto private terraces with views over the subtropical gardens, to the sunsets. All rooms and suites have air conditioning, mini bar, satellite TV LCD, WI-FI internet connectivity, direct phone line, and safety deposit box. Guests staying at Casa Mariantonia can also use a well equipped gym and dine in the beautiful garden at the restaurant La Zagara tasting the best recipes of Capri culinary tradition.
The comfort, the warm hospitality of the owner, the lovely grounds and the stunning views of Monte Solaro, and out over the sea to Ischia, all ensure a truly memorable holiday.
