San Michele Anacapri 4 stars

From its position on the cliff tops of Anacapri, some 300 meters above sea level, Hotel San Michele boasts the most breathtaking views of the islands of Ischia, Procida and across the entire Bay of Naples.

Inaugurated over a century ago, in the distant 1894, Hotel San Michele is one of Capri's oldest hotels, once the chosen residence of such illustrious visitors to the island as Queen Vittoria von Baden and the author and physician, Axel Munthe.

Constantly upgraded over the years, Hotel San Michele's sixty attractive bedrooms and suites are equipped with every modern comfort. A great number of the rooms have balconies or terraces from where to admire a magnificent view of the sea. In the gardens of the hotel, there is a large swimming pool (the largest on the island) and terraces where guests can laze in the Italian sun.

The hotel's restaurant, La Baia di Napoli, will delight guests with its excellent Mediterranean cuisine, superb selection of wines, and wonderfully panoramic dining room overlooking the bay of Naples. The poolside Il Ristorantino offers a less formal venue where to savor delicious local dishes or indulge in any of a range of tempting snacks.

The Lanterna Verde is Hotel San Michele's popular bar-tavern, where residents and locals alike gather to enjoy superb live musical entertainment. For seminars, conferences and business meetings, the hotel's Sala Edwin offers a seating capacity for up to 120 guests.
